Occasion: Garden Club Officers Installation Meeting
Difficulty: A bit of work
Gloves Cookies:
I made sugar cookies
using a hand cookie cutter.
Keeping the fingers from breaking was a challenge. I then took white
chocolate and made "squiggles" all over the cookies. Before
the chocolate could set I used chunky sugar to give them some sparkle.
Chocolate Mousse Cups: I made candy hats using a mold and "melts". I then decorated each
hat using fondant
strips for ribbons and premade candy flowers for decorations.
I made these well ahead of the
meeting. I bought plastic glasses with short stems and filled
them with homemade chocolate mousse. At the last minute I
added whipped cream and topped with a hat.
I decorated the table with lace handerchiefs, lace gloves, and used silver spoons.
Additionally, I used pretty frames and decorated paper to mark what the foods were.
