WATER REQUIRMENT: Well-drained, moist, loamy soil
SUN REQUIREMENT: Because it is native to wooded areas it prefers a shaded location.

Seal is a

of the Lily family. It is fairly tough and will tolerate
less than ideal conditions but if Solomon's Seal is in a good spot it
will multiply very rapidly by creeping rhizomes. If
propagating
by seed, seeds should be sown in autumn and will germinate in early
spring. Roots may also be divided and this is best done in
fall
but may be done at any time.
